INTRA-AGENCY AND EXTERNAL LIAISON 

Nature of Engagement: Consultancy/ Contract of Service (The contract shall be for a period of Six (6) months and may be renewed for a period not exceeding six months as needed by IPOPHL)

Monthly salary: 40,000

 

Education:  A first university degree graduate in any of the social sciences, preferably Psychology

Experience / Competency: With at least three (3) years of work experience, dedicated to liaison and collaborative work; experience working in an international setting is an advantage, multi-skilled and well-organized and can manage several activities in parallel.

Place of Assignment:IP Academy

 

Scope of Work/Services:

  • Liaise with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on the Establishment of the IP Academy of the IPOPHL;
  • Assist in the implementation of the Road Map for the Establishment/Operation of the IP Academy and Research Center for the Director General’s approval;
  • Assist in identifying the different stakeholder groups requiring the IP education and
    awareness services of the IPOPHL;
  • Assist in identifying the curricula, modules, programs, and materials to be adopted/used by IPOPHL for its IP education and awareness programs, including the certification program and post-graduate degree programs on IP for the IP Academy;
  • Assist in identifying the required qualifications of resource persons, professors, teaching staff, experts, and other human resources who may be tapped by the IP Academy;
  • Liaise with the Documentation, information and Technology Transfer Bureau (DITTB) on the enhancement of IPOPHL’s existing IP Education and Awareness programs, and also with the IPOPHL bureaus/units for inclusion in the information awareness and education activities in the roadmap;
  • Coordinate with other international institutions/organizations, other government agencies, private organizations and associations, and educational institutions in the
    establishment of the IP Academy;
  • Assist in developing and periodically updating the stakeholder map to identify stakeholders, which includes individuals or organizations, that IPOPHL needs to build
    relationships with and can collaborate with to support the achievement of its strategic goals and target;
  • Conduct proactive engagement activities and efforts (e.g. KaIPhan and courtesy calls) to build professional and mutually beneficial relationships with the academic community, key stakeholders, and other stakeholder groups to secure opportunities and create collaborations that will support IPOPHL in fulfilling its strategic goals and plans in relation to the establishment of the IP Academy; and
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the April Convergence in 2019 in collaboration with the different bureaus/units of the IPOPHL, particularly the DITTB and the Advocacy Communication Team.
