“Music is power— it can transform the way we look at life and live life. It can unite, empower and heal. It can connect generations and bring individuals, communities and an entire nation to their feet. The value it brings should move anyone to be an advocate for those who make music possible and available to us—the talented artists, composers, arrangers, performers, producers and many more.

With the theme “IP and Music: Bringing the Pinoy Beat to the World,” National IP Month 2025 celebrates the rich and diverse music of the Philippines.
This theme is a call to recognize the importance of intellectual property (IP) in empowering Filipino artists and players in the music industry. From upbeat folk rock, rap and P-pop to classic OPM hits and liturgies, Filipino music represents our culture, our emotions and our stories. It reflects both our strengths and our struggles.
With IP protection, we can ensure their music reaches the world with the respect, protection and celebration they deserve. It’s time we move to the beat of the evolving and enduring Pinoy rhythm until it reverberates our stories, culture and talents for the world to experience.”
