Minimum Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Training: 16 hours of relevant training

Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience

Eligibility: CS Professional/ RA 1080 for positions which require the practice of profession

Competency: Thinking strategically and creatively, Leading change, Building collaborative inclusive working relationships, Managing performance and coaching for results, creating and nurturing high-performing organization

With expertise in IP laws, Enforcement, and other related fields

 

Job Description:

  1. Handle Complaints assigned, and draft Evaluation reports, orders, and decision on the Complaint
  2. Evaluate IPR Violation Reports filed with IEO
  3. Conduct investigation involving pirate websites using digital/forensic tools
  4. Conduct research on matters relating to IPR enforcement;
  5. Prepare unit’s inputs on IPR enforcement matters as may be assigned;
  6. Provide technical support to meetings, dialogues, and forums as assigned.
  7. Monitor IPR violations online and offline;
  8. Represent the Office in inter-agency meetings;
  9. Handle the preparation of documents and attend to transactions with other bureaus or agencies related to the IEO function
  10. If assigned, act as a point person in any communications between the IEO and other bureaus, or other public and private entities to ensure the completion of the IEO’s objectives for its existing and future projects
  11. Monitor and update the status of IP violation reports and complaints filed with the IEO
  12. Respond to problems or issues which may arise when liaising with other departments, government agencies, and stakeholders
  13. Provide technical support in the preparation of project documents, programs, briefing papers, work plans, and other related documents;
  14. Supervise the IEO staff in the absence of the Division Chief; and
  15. Perform other functions that may be assigned or delegated by immediate supervisor, Supervising Director or the Deputy Director General for Enforcement
