#EntertainAndEducateTheWorld calls for artists, especially freelancers, in the performing arts and audiovisual arts sector. All entries must be rated "GP", and should not contain any profanity. These may be in English or Filipino, and must all be original creations. Artists may choose to submit an animation or a performance such as but not limited to spoken poetry or a songwriting/musical composition.

 

 

Submission

of Entries

 

 

 

  • Must be original and creative
  • Open to all Filipino citizens, regardless of age
  • One entry per category, and a maximum of 2 categories per participant
  • Must not have been submitted to a simultaneous contest or
    its copyright previously transferred to another.
  • Must have not been published or currently published in any publication or social media platforms.
  • Deadline of submissions is on or before 5:00 PM, 22 June 2020.
  • Entry Form must be completely filled out

Entry can be submitted to any of the following formats

Animation (video)

  • A dialogue, non-dialogue or infographic type video
  • AVP must be at least 1 to 3 minutes long  
  • At least 1920 x 1080 pixels, either 2D or 3D animation
  • Open art style. Must be Rated “GP”
  • Must include background music, either original, royalty-free or public domain
  • Participants may use the English or Filipino language for their AVP content. The use of local language is also allowed, provided that there will be either English or Filipino translation as subtitles.
  • Must include the IPOPHL logo and details at end of the video 
  • Submission in MP4 format

Overall topic: What is Intellectual Property Rights and its importance? 

Subtopics could cover or all, for example:

  • What is Copyright and Related Rights in the literary, music , visual arts, performing arts, etc
  • Why do you need for your creative works to be copyrighted?
  • Respect for other people's work
  • How to protect your creative work in this digital world?
  • or any topic that is about copyright. 

Spoken Poetry (performance video)

  • Characterized by rhyme, repetition, improvisation, and wordplay.
  • May draw on music, sound, dance, or other kinds of performance
  • Must not use profane or any vulgar language
  • Participants may use the English or Filipino language for their AVP content. 
  • In case the entry is “inaudible” or uses a different language other than Filipino or English, the video presentation must be presented with either English or Filipino translation subtitles.
  • Must include the IPOPHL logo and details at end of the video 
  • Submission in mp4 format

         

Songwriting Composition (performance video)

  • The participant may use any or a combination of the following genre:
    • Pop, Jazz, Ballad, Classical, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, Gospel, Rock, Hip Hop, Rap
  • The lyrics of the song may be in English, Filipino, or a combination of both. The use of other local language is also allowed, provided that there will be either English or Filipino translation subtitles.
  • Song entries must not exceed four (4) minutes. 
  • Entries must be submitted in full accompaniment version, minus-one, and in mp4 format.
  • Words with registered trademarks/brand names, explicit and offensive lyrics, are strictly not allowed.
  • All song entries (musical composition/arrangement) shall be considered FINAL once submitted, and cannot be modified or altered before the selection and announcement of winners.

  1. Animation/Videos (15 entries)
  2. Other performance arts (spoken poetry, dance, musical performance etc.) (20 entries)
