IPOPHL confers Special Awards to academic institutions, government, and private sectors

During the Intellectual Property Convergence Forum 2018, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) awarded institutions and companies across government, academe, and the private sector who have been the most prolific users of the intellectual property system since 1998.

IPOPHL recognised the following groups with the IPOPHL Special Awards, meant to honor institutions that have made  record breaking achievements in the commercialization and utilization of IP system.:

for having filed and registered the most number of utility models  from 1998-2017

University of the Philippines - Los Banos

For having the most number of patents filed and grants from 1998 - 2017.

Government Institution Category

Philippine Rice Research Institute

Most number of patent grants from 1998 to 2017 

Industrial Technology Development Institute

For having the most number of utility models registered from 1998 to 2017

For having the most number of patents filed from 1998 to 2017

Ambica International Trading Corporation

For having filed the most number of trademarks from 1998 to 2017

Private Company Category

Easyhomes Inc.

For having the most number of patents filed from 1998-2017

G-Exchange,Inc.

For having the most number of patent grants from 1998- 2017

Coral Stone Corporation

For having the most number of utility models filed and registered from 1998-2017
