Minimum Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor of Laws

Training: none required

Experience: 3 years supervisory/management experience with relevant experience in legal practice and strong focus on IP law

Eligibility: RA 1080 (member of the bar); and preferably a Career

Executive Service Eligible (CESE)

Competency: Thinking Strategically and Creatively, Leading Change, Building Collaborative and Inclusive Working Relationships, Managing Performance and Coaching for Results, Creating and Nurturing High-Performing Organization

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Education
    • Master of Laws (LL.M) is preferred
  • Professional Experience  
    • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technical and legal matters associated with IP rights and management;
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, projects, and initiatives  
  • Leadership and Management Skills
    • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams;
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management;
    • Effective decision-making skills and the ability to handle complex situations
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively articulate complex technological concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
    • Ability to collaborate, builds relationships, and facilitates communication with internal and external partners
  • Problem Solving Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to information systems and technology
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge
    • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing information systems and data management;
    • Knowledge and experience in Philippine government procurement, accounting and auditing rules, and regulations is  preferred
  • Project Management Skills
    • Experience in overseeing and managing office, preferably in IP management projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Certifications
    • Relevant certifications related to IP and project management are desirable
