The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), through its IP Academy, in partnership with De La Salle University (DLSU), invites you to the 6th IPOPHL-DLSU Research Conference on Intellectual Property and Innovation, to be held on April 4, 2025, at DLSU Manila Campus, Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.
This annual research conference serves as the premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, challenges, and solutions in the field of intellectual property (IP).
The theme of this year’s DITECH Fair, “Haraya: The Symphony of Creativity and IP”, is inspired by the Filipino concept of “haraya,” which signifies imagination, vision, and hope. The theme invites participants to celebrate the harmony of creativity and intellectual property (IP) as key drivers of progress and positive change. The event emphasizes how imagination, creativity, and innovation work together, with IP contributing significantly to the process of turning ideas into reality—much like the unique rhythms that come together to form a symphony.

- Abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Review Committee composed of experts in IP research and education.

- Authors of accepted abstracts are required to submit Extended Abstracts for publication in the 6th IPOPHL-DLSU Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Conference Proceedings.
- Authors of excellent papers will be invited to submit full papers for publication in the Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Book Series.
- The presenter/s shall deliver the presentation as represented in the extended abstract they have submitted.
- The presenter/s is expected to be at the session hall at least 10-15 minutes before the scheduled session.
- Each presentation is allotted 15 minutes with a maximum of 12 minutes to discuss the highlights of their research and 3 minutes to answer the questions from the Session Chair and/or audience (Q & A).
- As the total duration of your presentations is 15 minutes, the recommended number of slides for your PowerPoint file is 15.
- The presenter must adhere to the given time allotment for their session. As such, Q&A segments must be apportioned within the time limit. No time extensions will be given.
- A timekeeper will be assigned to each session and will notify the presenters on the remaining time for each presentation. Notification cards will be raised when the time reaches 7 minutes (“5 minutes left”) and 10 minutes (“2 minutes left”) for the presenter to wrap-up their presentation by then. A “Time is up” card will be raised when the time reaches 12 minutes. The 3 minutes (Q & A) will then follow shortly after each talk.
- The presentation should be delivered in English.
- Internet connectivity may be an issue at the venue. Hence, it is highly recommended that presentations are readable or are in any of the following format: .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .key

- The authors of the accepted poster abstracts are required to submit their posters at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines on or before March 21, 2025.
- The authors of the accepted poster abstracts are also required to submit an electronic copy of poster (A4-size 8.27” x 11.69” in pdf and jpeg format. It should be in high resolution.
- Electronic copy of posters must be submitted at email address: ipacademy@ipophil.gov.ph
- The poster must have the following specifications: 48 inches high x 36 inches wide (121.9 x 91.4 cm) in portrait orientation.
