Minimum Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor of Laws

Training: Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience

Eligibility: RA 1080 – member of the bar

Job Description:

  1. Assists the Attorney V in the supervision of administrative matters pertaining to his division;
  2. Performs duties and functions of Attorney V in absence of the latter when designated by the Director;
  3. Adjudicates cases on inter partes or Administrative Complaints and other proceedings;
  4. Receives and evaluates evidence presented during said hearings;
  5. Prepares final orders, decisions, resolutions and others, relative to the above cases for approval and signature of the Director of the Bureau of Legal Affairs;
  6. Causes the preparation of subpoenas, summons, notices, orders, resolutions;
  7. Conducts legal studies or researches in connection with cases being handled by the division or the Bureau or when assigned to do so;
  8. Assists the Director and Assistant Director on legal matters affecting office policies, interpretations and administration of laws and rules on patents, trademarks and copyright and other IP laws; and
  9. Performs such other tasks and special assignments and/or delegated functions that may be assigned from time to time.
