The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) maintains online facilities for the filing of an application for invention (through the eInventionFile), utility model (through the eUMFile), industrial design (through the eIDFile), and trademark (through the eTMFile).  This is pursuant to the government policy of streamlining administrative procedures on Intellectual Property Rights as enshrined in Republic Act 8293 known as the IP Code of the Philippines.

To maintain these services and ensure efficient and accurate information in the IPOPHL database, an advance partial payment of Five Hundred Pesos (Php500.00) chargeable from the filing fee (Rule 401), shall be required from applicants upon filing of an online application for invention, utility model and/or industrial design.  The remaining balance shall be payable within one (1) month from the online filing date.

Alternatively, applicants may opt for the advance full payment of fees at the onset of the online filing process.

The above online payment options shall be implemented effective October 1, 2018.
