September 30, 2025
The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has assured its employees and stakeholders that the agency’s efficiency, reliability and innovative spirit will remain steadfast during the transition in leadership.
In his message to officials and staff at the September 29 flag ceremony, Acting Director General Nathaniel S. Arevalo emphasized that IPOPHL will continue to pursue its commitments with urgency and with the best interests of its stakeholders and partners in mind.
“Actions and decisions should be expedient, if not quick, and calibrated as well. Meeting the deadlines and timely responses to communications, requests, invitations and regulatory administrative requirements shall be paramount,” read the message. It was delivered by Arevalo’s Chief Executive Secretary Mariz Manabat on his behalf as he represented IPOPHL at the Department of Trade and Industry’s budget briefing at the House of Representatives.
Arevalo also underscored the need to further nurture IPOPHL’s engagement with stakeholders, government agencies, international partners and the media.
“Their interests are our interests,” he affirmed, noting that these relationships will remain central to IPOPHL’s mission.
Recognizing the IPOPHL community’s hard work throughout 2025 and its adaptability amid leadership transitions, Arevalo urged staff to carry forward the institution’s record of sound governance and service excellence.
“Let us join together to uphold IPOPHL’s established reputation for quality, reliable and innovative services, with a strong and sound administrative and financial discipline, a reputation which we are proud of and hold dear to our hearts,” he added.
He also reiterated that ongoing projects to further innovation and creativity and promote employee welfare will remain top priorities notwithstanding the change in governance.
