The Licensing, Audit, Valuation, and Management of Intellectual Property Rights (L.A.V. IP) Program aims to educate IP owners on the various types of IP licensing agreements and guide them in selecting the most appropriate models to protect and monetize their IP.

It equips stakeholders with the knowledge and tools needed to conduct effective IP audits, enabling improved IP portfolio management and informed decision-making.

The program also enables IP rights holders to accurately assess the value of their IP using appropriate valuation methods to support strategic planning and negotiations. Overall, the L.A.V. IP Program delivers advances IP education and strategic insights to a select group of participants qualified to manage IP rights.

The first cycle of the L.A.V. IP Seminar will be conducted from March to May 2026 and will target MSMEs, law offices, universities, private companies, and other government agencies. The second cycle will be held from October to November 2026 and will be exclusively for members of the Filipino Inventors Society (FIS).

A clear understanding of IP valuation, including the types of IP assets that can be valuated and the frameworks used for assessment. It emphasizes aligning IP valuation with customer and market fit, and guides participants through preparation techniques and practical examples.

April 28, 2026 | IP Licensing and Franchising

This introduces participants to technology transfer and the concepts of IP licensing and franchising. It covers different types of licensing, key components of licensing agreements, and relevant provisions under Sections 87 and 88 of the Philippine IP Code.
