  • Residency Requirement:
    Preferably within Metro Manila or within reasonable commuting distance to IPOPHL headquarters to facilitate coordination and data management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists in designing, implementing, and managing robust statistical methodologies for collecting, processing, and analyzing data related to patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established standards.
2. Supports the development and refinement of statistical concepts, definitions, classification systems, and procedures to standardize reporting, improve data quality, and ensure consistency across the organization.
3. Conducts advanced analyses of statistical data, surveys, and other IP-related datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to inform strategic planning, evidence-based policy, and management decision-making.
4. Develops and maintains statistical databases, reporting systems, and dashboards, leveraging modern tools and technologies (e.g., R, Python, Power BI, Tableau) to enhance data accessibility, visualization, and operational efficiency.
5. Supports predictive analytics, scenario modeling, and risk assessments to anticipate trends, optimize resource allocation, and support proactive decision-making.
6. Prepares comprehensive statistical reports, visualizations, projections, and analytical summaries to support management, internal stakeholders, and external agencies in evidence-based governance.
7. Collaborates with other divisions and units to consolidate, validate, and integrate statistical data, ensuring that management receives accurate, timely, and actionable information.
8. Provides technical guidance and mentorship on statistical methods, data interpretation, and reporting standards to staff and project teams, under the supervision of the Statistician III or Division Chief.
9. Stays abreast of emerging trends, global best practices, and new tools in statistical analysis, data science, and intellectual property management, applying them to improve the organization’s analytical capabilities.
10. Drafts memoranda, office orders, correspondence, and other official documents related to statistical outputs, analytical findings, and management recommendations.
11. Participates in organizational initiatives, projects, and studies requiring statistical support, contributing to evidence-based management, operational improvements, and IPOPHL’s institutional objectives.
12. Performs other related functions as assigned to strengthen data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and the organization’s analytical capacity.
