Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Library or Information Science, Education/Arts major in library or other studies courses

Training: Four (4) hours of relevant training

Experience: One (1) of relevant experience

Competency:

  • Technical / Functional Expertise:

    1. Skilled in using library classification systems and metadata standards for organizing resources.
    2. Proficient in integrated library systems (ILS), online public access catalogs (OPAC), and digital library tools.
    3. Capable of conducting reference interviews and assisting users in accessing and evaluating IP-related information and resources.
    4. Participants in selecting, acquiring, and maintaining updated and relevant IP and innovation-related materials and publications

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Curates, organizes, and maintains digital and physical collections of IP-related resources, publications, and reference materials for use in marketing, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement activities.
2. Ensures up-to-date access to IP-related databases, journals, reports, and digital repositories to support research, publications, and creative campaigns.
3. Provides advisory services to IPOPHL staff, stakeholders, and partners on accessing, interpreting, and using IP-related information for strategic communications and promotional activities.
4. Supports the development and production of IP marketing materials, infographics, and publications by providing accurate reference data and contextual content.
5. Assists in conducting IP awareness, training, and advocacy programs by preparing and supplying resource materials, references, and curated datasets.
6. Maintains and updates directories, bibliographies, and databases of IP publications, creative industry references, and partner resources to enhance dissemination and outreach.
7. Monitors trends in IP information, publications, and digital content management practices to recommend improvements in the division’s resource curation and dissemination activities.
8. Establishes and maintains linkages with libraries, IP offices, and other information providers to facilitate access to the latest IP knowledge and content for promotional use.
9. Prepares reports, briefs, and supporting documentation for IP marketing campaigns, outreach events, and publications.
10. Performs other administrative, reference, and content support tasks as may be assigned by the Division Chief or Bureau Director.
