Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Competency:
- Technical/Functional Competencies:
1. Capable of conducting policy research, technical studies, and economic analysis to support evidence-based decision-making on IP matters.
2. Capable of developing institutional positions and recommendations based on IP laws, policies and regulatory framework.
3. Proficient in writing reports, work plans, and project documents.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conducts policy research, technical studies, and economic analysis on intellectual property matters to inform strategic decision-making.
2. Prepares the organization’s official positions on policy issues, legislative proposals, and regulatory matters.
3. Provides technical support in international forums and negotiations on IP policies, harmonization, and emerging issues.
4. Monitors administrative, legislative, and judicial developments affecting IP, ensuring effective coordination with relevant IPOPHL units.
5. Represents IPOPHL in inter-agency meetings, hearings, and negotiations as authorized.
6. Prepares project documents, work plans, reports, and other outputs to support the division’s mandate.
7. Performs other functions as directed to support IPOPHL’s policy, research, and governance objectives.
