Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Competency:

  • Technical / Functional Expertise:

    1. Capable of drafting and executing communication and marketing plans to promote IP awareness programs.
    2. Knowledgeable in branding principles, stakeholders engagement, and promotional campaigns for government or development-oriented programs.
    3. Familiarity with intellectual property concepts, and the innovation landscape in the Philippines.
    4. Experience in organizing communication campaigns, webinars, launches or other public engagement activities relevant to IP and technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develops, implements, and monitors IPOPHL-wide communication and marketing strategies to promote awareness, understanding, and utilization of intellectual property (IP) across the country.
2. Maintains, organizes, and analyzes technical, scientific, and IP-related records, statistics, and databases to support evidence-based decision-making, reporting, and promotional initiatives at the organizational level.
3. Prepares and disseminates high-quality information materials—such as brochures, flyers, press releases, multimedia content, and digital campaigns—to effectively communicate IPOPHL programs and services to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Supports research, studies, and analyses on IP trends, public perception, and technology transfer opportunities to inform strategic marketing and advocacy programs.
5. Plans, coordinates, and executes national and regional IP-related events, campaigns, webinars, workshops, and public engagement activities to increase IP awareness and stakeholder participation.
6. Represents IPOPHL in local and international trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and forums, ensuring consistent messaging and branding of the agency’s programs and initiatives.
7. Prepares comprehensive reports, including terminal reports and documentation for trainings, events, and campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination to management and oversight bodies.
8. Provides advisory support to IPOPHL personnel, MSMEs, inventors, and other stakeholders on IP services, technology transfer opportunities, and compliance with IP policies.
9. Collaborates with internal units, bureaus, government agencies, and private sector partners to strengthen IPOPHL’s marketing, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement efforts nationwide.
10. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Division Chief, Bureau Director, or senior management to support IPOPHL’s strategic objectives as the national authority for IP promotion and protection.
