Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supports the Accreditation and Standards Division (ASDIV) in the formulation, implementation, and promotion of copyright standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks in accordance with national and international laws.
2. Conducts legal and policy research on copyright and related rights issues, including national legislation, treaties, and emerging developments in the creative industries.
3. Assists in drafting policies, rules, guidelines, and accreditation decisions for Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) and other copyright-related entities.
4. Prepares legal opinions, audit observations, and compliance reports for review, providing actionable recommendations to improve the operations of CMOs and strengthen copyright governance.
5. Develops articles, informational materials, and content for public dissemination to raise awareness of copyright standards, policies, and best practices among stakeholders in the creative industries.
6. Participates in the planning, organization, and execution of information campaigns, seminars, workshops, and advocacy initiatives to promote copyright compliance and effective copyright management.
7. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and rights holders, to provide technical support, ensure alignment with legal requirements, and foster best practices.
8. Monitors trends, case law, and policy developments relevant to copyright and related rights, providing insights to support strategic planning, policy review, and enforcement initiatives.
9. Performs other legal, policy, or administrative tasks as may be assigned to support the efficient and effective operations of the Accreditation and Standards Division.
