PHILIPPINE TRADEMARK ONLINE SEARCH SYSTEM (PhilTM-O-SEARCH)

The Philippine Trademark Online Search System (PhilTM-O-SEARCH) enables you to conduct simple and user-friendly search on the IPO’s TM Database containing registered and pending trademark records. Search results are provided in a form of searched records list and bibliographic details. Search input may be either keyword(s), application/registration number, NICE classification, nature of good/services or applicant(s)/registrant(s). Operators “AND” and “OR” are provided for a more flexible and broader search.

> Information May Contain Errors And Inaccuracies

The large quantities of information available in the database have been encoded manually. Inevitably, errors and inaccuracies occur in the process. Thus, IPO does not warrant 100% accuracy and completeness of the information contained in its trademark database.

>This database is for personal research and information purposes only and should not be completely relied upon in making business/commercial decisions. IPO is not responsible on how the users/searchers use such information. As such, IPO will not be liable for whatever damages that may result from using any information in its trademark database.

>Should a thorough search of the TM database or interpretation of search results is desired, the user is advised to seek independent professional assistance/services.

> Limitations

With the necessary inputs entered into the trademark (TM)-search fields, retrieval of results with the present set-up is limited only to TM word components since the database for the TM image component is still under development.

>The TM database contains registered and pending trademarks which are regularly updated. However, with the time lag in updating which is about a week's time at present, it may not show trademarks applications that have been filed very recently with the IPO. Those applications may not have been encoded yet in the database.

>The database search results contain list of searched records and bibliographic details only.

>Since updating the TM records are still ongoing, the database may not show searched results that are 100% updated/accurate.

> Third Party Copyright

The database may contain material in which third parties are the copyright owners. Unauthorized use of such material may infringe copyrights and other related rights. IPO recommends getting appropriate approvals first from the copyright owner before copying or doing any other infringing acts.

>Also, the fact that a trademark cannot be found by searching in the PhilTM-O-SEARCH does not necessarily mean that it has not yet been filed or is not currently in use. IPO, aside from prudence, advises searching from other source(s).

>Searcher's Privacy Searcher's Privacy

IPO does not collect nor record information about search queries or results obtained from the database by individual users.

PRIVACY POLICY

IPO, through this website, does not collect nor store any personal information from its visitors. If the visitors do provide any information voluntarily, usually through e-mail, IPO will only use that information to be able to respond to the e-mail or to gather information requested through that e-mail. Also, IPO may share that personal information to another organization only if the inquiry or request relates to that agency.

Any personal information provided voluntarily through the IPO website will not be disclosed nor sold to any third party(ies) for any commercial or profiling purpose(s).
