IP Philippines visits Supreme Court

Adrian S. Cristobal, Jr., Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Director General (left) paid a courtesy call to newly installed Supreme Court Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban (middle) recently.

During the meeting, IP Philippines proposed to the Supreme Court the establishment of a computerized tracking system for IP cases in the trial and commercial courts, designated to hear and try IP cases, and have this incorporated within the case tracking systems of the SC and Court of Appeals. This proposal aims to effectively manage the database of IP cases, help simplify case processing and speed up the disposition of IP cases.

IP Philippines also pledged to provide the logistical and material support needed in the said computerization of the system in the form of computers, Internet access and the like.
