LIST OF SUCCESSFUL PAQE 2007 EXAMINEES

        The announcement was made by the IP Philippines PAQE Board through Resolution No. 2008-001 dated 26 February 2008, after a determination of the names of successful candidates based on the scores garnered. There were nineteen (19) successful examinees out of the 33 who took the exams. Four (4) are IP Philippines employees who are disqualified for registration as patent agent under the Rules and one (1) who later became the Executive Director of the IPRTI after taking the PAQE seeks exclusion of her name from the Registry. The 2007 PAQE was administered last July 17, 2007.

       The examination process was institutionalized to professionalize the patent agency practice in the Philippines and in order to establish a cadre of patent agents who have the appropriate technical and science disciplines. Patent agents are professionals who assist those who file patent applications with IP Philippines.

        Except for the personnel of IP Philippines, those who pass the examination can now be entered in the Registry of Patent Agents that IP Philippines is maintaining. The project of institutionalizing the examination was undertaken with the assistance of the European Patent Office (EPO). The first PAQE examination was administered last 2006.
