| IP Philippines partners with Ateneo for Chemistry and Engineering program of IP institute |

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IP Philippines) and Ateneo de Manila University recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a Chemistry and Engineering Education program for IP lawyers and practitioners. Faculty members of the Chemistry and Engineering Departments of Ateneo are the program lecturers at the Intellectual Property Research and Training Institute (IPRTI) of IP Philippines. Some of the experts in the lecturers’ pool include Dr. Armando Guidote, Jr., Chemistry Department Chair of Ateneo, who earned his doctorate degree from Sophia University, Japan and; Dr. Rick Gross, president of Villarica Specialty Chemical Corporation, who earned his doctorate degree from Syracuse University, New York.
